Tim Ryerson

Hello and thanks for visiting my website. As the owner of STUDENTathleteWorld, I'm committed to being hands on with all facets of what we do. I live just outside of Raleigh, North Carolina with my wife Erika and two kids, Harper and Hayes. I founded STUDENTathleteWorld in 2009 after an eight year college men's basketball and cross country coaching career. I spent time at the following five schools; Hardin-Simmons University (TX), University of Wisconsin-River Falls (WI), Methodist University (NC), Wayne State College (NE), and St. Andrews University (NC). I also spent time as a high school coach in basketball, baseball, softball, and football. This diverse sport experience is pretty unique in the recruiting world. I even spent time as a Recreation Coordinator at three different colleges. There isn't a sport I haven't competed in or coached from Racquetball to Football and from Basketball to Broomball. I have a M.Ed in Sports Management from Hardin-Simmons University (TX) and an undergraduate degree from UW-Stevens Point (WI). I feel my unique perspective in the college athletic recruiting world is shaped from my experience at five small NCAA D2 and D3 colleges. Small colleges like these just operate differently than most people think. My perspective is also shaped from my general hatred of fluff. I guess it's the Midwest in me, but I just can't stand when things are sugar-coated and confusing for no reason. Just give it to me straight! The majority of my competitors in college athletic recruiting love fluff and like to sell to clients using fancy and fun words like "scouting" and "exposure". It's mostly crap. Navigating the college athletic recruiting process is about being realistic, casting a wide net, and then developing recruiting relationships with schools that are a good fit for you. It's match-making, not exposure. And it's not that complicated if you know what you are doing. You want more straight answers like that, let's talk! Thanks, Tim
